Learn To Fly 2
Learn to Fly 2 is the sequel to the smash hit flash game Learn to Fly. In this 2nd installment, the cut scene opens to find the penguin down and recovering in the hospital. Down, but not out, he smashes free from the hospital and begins to again learn to fly and resolves to take down some snowmen and and some icebergs as well. Will he be able to take that snowman and iceberg down? As the player, you have to help him do it!

The first noticeable improvement in the game is the division of three game modes. Whereas before the game was just straightforward and into flying, Learn to Fly 2 now has 3 new modes of play. They are namely: Story mode, Arcade, and classic.
Story mode
In Story mode, you must take down the iceberg that got the penguin in the hospital. The game is generous in the tools and upgrades, it gives you to achieve this task. Whereas, before the penguin did all his stunts on his own, he now has the foresight to use a test dummy. Whereas before he used a single glider, now there are four different gliders to use and purchase. There are also four different rocket boosters to purchase, four types of sleds, and four different payloads. The sled is a new tool used to slide down the ramp and the payloads are used to take down the iceberg.
Arcade mode
Arcade mode has you budgeting your money as it provides you with only 3 sets of fixed budgets. Try to get the best scores and results with just this amount.
Classic mode
The most similar to the first game is classic mode, where you have to fly as far to the right as possible. Essentially the same idea and objective as the first.
Medals and Bonuses
There are also medals and achievements to be earned to get extra bonuses as well.
Earning the medals is done by performing various actions in the game. This can be as trivial as scrolling down a menu or two, or something a bit more substantial like earning a lot of cash or finishing all three game modes. This is a more detailed reward system than the first game.
The bonuses offer various ways to get ahead and get way better results in the game. The bonuses vary from making more money per attempt to adjusting the ramp, to even adjusting the in-game calendar to suit how you make your attempts. These will greatly enhance your progress in the game.
The bonuses don’t stop there however. You can even purchase music packs that change the background music of the game! This won’t affect the gameplay in any way, but it really raises the coolness factor of the game!
Core Gameplay
With all these new improvements, the core gameplay of Learn to Fly is still intact. It’s still a matter of constantly trying to fly, how long you fly, how far you fly, and how high you fly. The new addition to this core gameplay is taking down the icebergs and the snowmen. Taking all these into account, you will earn money in each attempt. This is the money that you use to purchase all the goodies mentioned above. It’s simple trial and error. And as trial and error goes, initially, you won’t be able to go very far. But as you keep repeating the process, you will be amazed at how far you’ll go. The improvement will be noticeable as long as you keep going in each level. And this is what will keep you going back to play this game over and over again.
